Anyone notice they were all 2.5rs subarus? I was thinking about something today though. Y8s, a flat shift system isn't really comparable to ALS. Als will keep the turbo spun when down shifting and when simply taking your foot off the gas.

I don't know why that Cosworth had the dyno sniffer behind his car, as if it was possible to determine if he was actually running rich on his setup.

Funny, I was talking to my friend with a WRX and he was saying that bad ALS systems like those in the video do indeed ruin turbos by spitting fuel into them and that then igniting and destroying the turbo. But he also said that there are als systems like those on wrc cars that are safe and work very well, he said that the ones engineered by novatec and used in conjunction with a Cosworth ej25 create a reliable als car, or at least something along those lines was on the Cosworth site.

there *are* turbos made to withstand ALS, but they're crazy expensive.

How about a flywheel attached to the turbine? That would keep it spinning..

probly wise to get a starter attached to that flywheel too. otherwise spool = ***.
