Really? Because if you can get wheels/windshield frame to look like that with $5 of spraypaint you should go in to business.

The tails I'd leave alone, and I was too lazy to google, so count that as I'd leave the headlights alone too. But a yellow car with black hard top/ windshield frame and black wheels looks very nice. Probably the best you could do with yellow.

Of course since I have a black car, I figure that anything I can make black will just make it look blacker. I do have dark grey wheels though. If they ever start looking like ****, I'll go ahead and spray paint them black (probably cost about $15 though, 1 can o primer, 2 cans of black) if I can afford it.

The MSM style headlight look would be fine, I think that is universally not "rice"

Who has done it and had it last?

I read where a few had done it but after a year the paint was burnt/flaking in a few spots. Can't have that. Perhaps they needed some flat black high heat paint ?

Vinyl the windshield frame ?? Then if its a lasting look get a pro to paint it.

Rattle canned stock wheels just scream cheapness to me, and reducing the visibility of your taillights is ftl.

I found it during the day on a different computer and cannot find it now. It mentioned that some paint had come off after about a year. I fear that as I would not like to have to crack the lense open more than once. improper paint and prep may have been the issue in that particular case.

tails:

While only having the car be black and yellow may look good I do see the dangerous downfalls of not having properly visible taillights.

I could put in L-E-DEEZ tails yo and have super bright litez......

My rant was spawned from Landrew's picture.

Just seen a really nice yellow NB with black 6uls and stripes. Badass cobra guy and he loves his stripes. Next month I'm taking pics. Changed my views on strips and stuff. He's running Sebring next week with a bunch of Miatas. Might have to go check out this.

I've had mine for over a year and haven't noticed anything unusual.

Tried my hand at chopping some yellow paint onto my car with black 6ULs.
