Default Auto question and CAS question...come in

Friend is working on a 1995, I think CAS is bad. Is the 1.8 and 1.6 interchangeable? obviously they look different and the 1.6 version will be a little tight on the firewall but will it work?

Other question the 1995 is and auto and in his infinite wisdom while replacing the head gasket forgot where all the vacuum lines went, he now "THINKS" they are right and car runs but shifts at a very low RPM, where is the vacuum reference on the trans supposed to hook up to?

Thanks!

The 1.8 and 1.6 CAS are mechanically and electrically interchangable... I've done it.

For future searches, Auto trans ref lines hook up to the back of the intake manifold, 6mm connection.
