Default Autokonexion Trunk

So I finally bit the bullet and put this thing on. Problem was that my paint is a 3 stage pearl, which the shop that painted it thought they could match without the car. Sure enough, you can see they did not do that. Dropping the car off Monday for a respray/blend on the piece.

Looks pimp! How was the fit and finish in real life?

I just ordered the carbon fiber NB version just so I wouldn't have to get it painted. Other than the paint mismatch it looks real nice on a NA.

Is that thing really going to do anything?

The whole damn car is so flimsy I have no idea how even a real spoiler does any work sitting on the trunk.

The top and side lines are great, the only line I am having a problem with is the pass taillight (look close). Also, I had a pneumatic trunk thingy left on from the previous owner. The piece is way too damn light for that, so I had to scrap it.

Form = this trunk. Function = having the spare OEM trunk to mount a functional spoiler on.

I see what your saying about the pass tail light. For the price it should fit much better than that. That would really annoy the hell out of me.

Did you try to massage it a little? open the trunk and loosen the bolts, try twisting the trunk a little towards the side with the gap and tighten the bolts a little. See if that helps. We test fit every trunk before we ship to make sure of fitment.

Yep.. tried sliding it around a bit. I will try again once its out of the paint shop. Dropped it back off today to have the pearl corrected. I went through your test fitment photos and noticed there were no "rear shots", so nothing to compare it to. The line your showing in the picture you included isn't the line I'm talking about, but rather the line that flows along the taillight itself on the pass side.

I'll check if I can find a rear shot of that trunk or maybe close to where we can see that area. I was more concern of shooting it where you can see your name as proof. Not sure if I took some pics from the back because the car I'm using for test fit didn't have tail lights. Pls. double check install though because the gap on the left and right of the finish panel is not even. I think there is room to adjust. You also need to unhook both tensioner so there's no uneven pressure on the trunk.

You can also move the lock left and right. It can also push the latch towards the passenger side causing the trunk to open on that side.
