BEGi 1.6 thermostat block off plate - new ?

Why does the BEGi 1.6 block off plate have a tapped hole in the center? Why does the 1.8 not have one? Thanks.

Yeah, it's part of the rear CLT sensor. The fan control is integrated into the ECU, as God intended it.
