Built 1.8 gtx2860 1000cc 290whp out of injector???
Friend on mine got back on the dyno yesterday and only managed 296/270ft before the tuner said his ID1000s were out of fuel? On a Land & Sea dyno (true heartbreaker, output generally lower than mustang) but still that just doesn’t seem right to me?
His build list from last season, almost no changes over the winter except going from hood dump to a 3” straight back with a high flow muffler
and this was with 66% ethanol, when he made 306 last year with a different exhaust on pump 93
What are your thoughts trubro wizards?
Definitely more importantly, will I be able to break 300 on the same dyno with 1000ccs and a 6758? 🤷🏽♂️

What fuel pump does he have behind it? The 1000's should definitely be good for more than that depending on target AFR's.
My ID10000's are around 60% duty cycle on 15psi out of my 6258 on ethanol and they're on the slightly rich side around 11.5 in boost. Haven't had it on the dyno so i can't say what it's making but i'd guess around the same ballpark as your buddy.
edit: I have a walbro 190HP

Id 1000s can most definitely make waaayyyy more than that. Especially with high base pressures (65+psi) on a boost referenced regulator and a pump such as a walbro 525 and others that will support very high pressures while maintaining good flow. I dont see where you mention pump or fuel pressure. I ran in the 6"s and almost 108mph trap in the 1/8th mile with the above described setup, but have moved on to larger for this year. A trap speed of 108 mph in the 1/8th at my weight requires roughly 500hp give or take according to calculators.

What’s your fuel pressure at upper RPMs? You’re tuning blind without that. See my latest dyno forum thread. My
guess is your FP looks something like my earlier FPR. About 6-8 of the last dozen miatas I’ve tuned needed fuel pumps. Some of which already had upgraded pumps. I haven’t done any logging of voltage at the pump, all of those installs came with a FP relay straight to battery.

I believe a returnless (NB) fuel system with static stock fuel pressure goes over 80% on 1000s around 280-300rwhp (uncorrected).
Edit: just noticed 92 chassis, so system should be mani referenced return style. Nvm.

Ran into an issue getting his tune or logs though, he has a car built to the wall and doesn't have a cheap laptop of his own running tunerstudio...so no logs, he has no idea how to read them I would also venture to guess. So next time I see him we are going to use my computer and see what we can get. For real though, I am baffled how he has been running the car for over a year like that and somehow hasnt dropped literally like $100 for a dedicated cheap laptop...
I do think its a REQ fuel issue or fuel pressure issue like has been mentioned. I want to help him out, but without a log or anything we are 100% shooting in the dark. I will come back and update this thread some day with whatever we figure out or whenever I can use my computer for a log

If it helps, my 6758 and ID 1050xs hit 60%dc at 16.5psi, creeping up to 11.8afr. Once I fixed my FPR, it was still 60% at 19psi and 11.2afr. This is still with the stock 3 bar base fuel pressure.
