Car smokes little too much...

My miata has only had a turbo for a couple hundred miles and it smokes too much even after it warms up. But it seems like it started smoking immediately after the install. It's white smoke but it seems like it lasts longer than condensation. The turbo was brand new. I checked the compression (I cranked until I got oil pressure, ignition and fuel disabled) and got 187/185/180/190. I am assuming it can't be a head gasket!? Do these turbos have a history of dripping antifreeze into the exhaust housing or anything?

Thats what I am thinking/hoping.But it can't be much, because its not tons and tons of smoke like a decent amount of coolant will make. Do I need a restrictor on the oil inlet line? My drain line is into the pan and is a pretty decent sized hose, although I don't remember the specs. If I need a restrictor, how do I do it?
coolant is a sealed chamber, no possible way it would blow past any seal.
When I experience oil burning that I can notcie from my rear-view mirror it tends to look white. Try SamNavy's pop rivet trick and see if it at least don't help, easy way to rule something out.

GT28R will have a restrictor built in already.
When does it smoke? Mine puts out a decent puff under boost, but it did that at WOT before the turbo. It's been autocrossed all 15 years of its life.

Yes, it can cause the problem, as you know have far less vacuum being pulled in the crankcase. If your rings are worn, pressures getting past them and building up in the crankcase, causing your oil to not drain properly from the turbo. Plumb it to a source of constant vacuum, post-AFM and pre-turbo, in the intake tract, and your problem will be solved or lessen drastically.
Also, I think the GT28 may be restricted, but, depending upon the oil feed and engine to which it is connected, an extra oil feed may be necessary. Hence the extra-small Garrett-series oil feed restrictor fitting that places like ATP sells.
