Default cheap 3.6 torsion for less than $800??? Delimna

Hey all, we built a couple 3.6 rears last fall. 1 1995 Torsion and a Giken. New bearings seals etc.. Bought or made all the tools to build properly. Also made a solid pinion spacer. So no crush sleeve. (Found after there is a company making solid sleeves now. ugh) The car the Torsion was in wrecked with about 500 on the rear. The Giken has 20k so I know well built.
My question is how much a Torsion 3.6 in housing with axle shafts would be going for. I was expecting everything to swap a 1.6. Diff w/housing (949 bushing mounts), axle, shafts, and driveshaft should be a good $2k value.
I made a deal with a friend who has helped me many times to do $1500 for it. Will help with install plus any other parts needed to convert the 1.6 we may have overlooked.. I only ask because while chatting he told me of a source who will provide Torsions in stock ratios including the 3.6 for around $800. Parts alone cost over $1000.
I asked for the site link but not gotten it yet.
The friendship is valuable to me so I am considering pulling the deal and selling elsewhere if he thinks it is that large of a favor. I would look to get $2k for the deal Also and when the 3.3 comes out (hoping) I would go $800 to have theirs assuming warranty vs building my own again for the price.
Perspective please on value? Thanks guys.

$1000-1200 for a 3.63 Torsen in the US, bare pumpkin + rear cover. $300ish more for axles and driveshafts. You will sit on it forever at $2k, since I can buy a 4.10 Torsen for $400, gears from Comp for $600, and have it assembled professionally for $275 ($1275 total). I tried to get $2k for my 3.63 OSG and had no buyers.

$1500 is fair for your setup with axles/driveshaft. If your friend thinks he has a legit source for assembled 3.63 Torsens for $800, I would suggest that he buy as many as he can, since they sell routinely here for $1k in less than a day.

Thanks for the feedback. If I had not already forked out for parts I would have bought your OSG. Could have saved money. I had a larger parts list with bearings seals and housing bushings. Maybe unnecessary to replace all that but I like no surprises. I might make note of the chance to make some good money with his source. At least until he flooded the market. lol
