I can only feel it on two of them and it is a very small piece on each. By feel, I mean that I can go back and forth across it multiple times and I think am I feeling something.

meh i think you just taosted some rings man the walls look good, enough. The leak down is stationary but the compression test is moving this means that probly you are getting flexion on your rings when moving and this is allowing blowby to occur. Obviusly the air from a compressor you are using to test the leak down is not enough to twist the rings as the moving piston does. A simple rering should have your right as rain. But if your budget allows it i would consider some rods while you are in there.

For a good deal on the whole shebang of bearings etc. Mazda 1.8L 1990-1998 BP05 Engine Rebuild Kit

It has h-beams and wisecos. I might just take it to my machine shop and have them hone it and install new rings.

cool the site i linked has a rering kit for like 220 bucks or something i suggest you browse around so that you can make an informed buy. GL man
