Super clean build. Beautiful work. Keep it up. I wish this swap were in full force about 7 years ago. I would totally have this instead of a built BP.

once I got it in, I had to flush my fuel system to get the old gas out, and fill it with fresh 93 for start up.





Start up was good, didn't overheat, didn't knock or throw a rod, sounds good, oil pressure is good. This was the compression test after a 20 min cam break in. I drained the oil and filled with amsoil break in oil, and now its ready for the dyno.


The picture below is a car on K20a.org that was just tuned, it has cast 12:1 bottom end, similar cams, stock port head and stock intake manifold with a 70mm throttle body, its tuned on 93.

I think its fair to say with my CNC head and big intake setup with 90mm, it should pull 300 whp on 93, my predictions are 304 on 93 and 328 on 114 corn.

Well I fell short of my expectations, not sure if they were unreal or not. I based them on similar setups I had seen on fwd cars. And I estimate a 10whp additional drive train loss based on what my stock tsx motor was making compared to fwd cars. But it its what it is and my post dyno compression test shows 250 psi across the boards. All in all everything went well and Chris from Xenocron did a great job as usual with very professional services. Maybe the combination is wrong, I think the header may be holding back a few ponies, but I need to drive so I will think more about it after Christmas.

I haven't gotten to much good driving in since I got home today so ill let you guys know how it feels tomorrow.

But hey, I bet I'm up in the highest NA 4cyl Miata club.

That's still quite a good bit of power for an n/a 4 banger, and it's in a light car too so I'm sure it's still a hoot.

You can just throw boost at it and never worry about pinching horses ever again

How did the xenocron wheel speed sensor work out for you? Does it work at low speed reading off the studs like that?

Works great, as long as the wheels are moving it reads pretty accurate. You have to use a gps speedo (if your stock one is off) and adjust it kpro, but once you get it set up its fine.
