Default Cutting out when i get on the gas

Ever since i've had my miata (about three months now) whenever i get on the gas from idle it cuts out for just a second (if you're under the hood you can REALLY tell) but i just thought it was a problem with miata's in general and there was nothing to worry about (no risk of stalling or anything like that it just kinda sounds like the engine is taking a deep breath before it goes, lasts about .75 seconds) replaced the O2 sensor but figured that didn't have anything to do with it......it didn't, LOL. Any ideas?

thanks

You mean the maf when you say the air intake temp? i changed the TPS today, also there's just a tad bit of slack in the throttle cable right at the TB, could that be a problem? if so how do i shorten the cable?

When I got my car the guy sold it to me for really cheaap becasue he thought there was something bad about it, it ended up being a 3 dollar fix. It was just that sensor.

it should have an adjustment on one of the ends or both i can't remember of hand wich looks like it is run the retaining nut up the line abit to take out the slack. the slack would be pretty crappy but it shouldn't stall you out. i would check the fuel filter and the connection to the maf if it is loose or dirty(maf) then it could fail intermitently heck mine fell off on me at a stop sign thank god and hte car just died completely luckily i saw it and put it back together a little duct tape and all is good. i hope this helps.
