Trying to take dash out of 04 MSM and have all bolts out but having
trouble getting hood over instrument pod off. Manual shows it is held on
with only pins and clips BUT even yanking real hard it does not want to come off. Any ideas from someone who has done it. All help appreciated.

I assume you have removed the plastic shrouds around the steering column.

It is just a good hard yank. If it's never been off before it'll be stiff but you know how to jerk right?

 

Which direction are you "yanking" it? You should be pulling straight at you like an old VCR cassette tape.

A set of those non-marking small prybars can be helpful to provide gentle persuasion.
