Default DIY Low Profile Headlights

So I received a brainstorm kit without any adjustable arms awhile ago. The vendor (integrated performance) was super shady, so I decided I should attempt to create a DIY low profile kit. This is how you re-create the "low profile" height arms portion of it. I would think if you used a set of OEM buckets, you could easily re-create the buckets by simply cutting them in half and using aluminum to sink some projectors. If anyone has a set of OEM buckets laying around, I'd really like to try. Anyway here's the pics/measurements (measured both from center of pivot hole):

OEM arm vs brainstorm arm (found this pic on the web). I used this because it was perfectly on scale and helped me get an idea of the length I needed:

End Result:

Random shots I took last night:

**edit: webshots sucks.. moving to tinypic.**

Yes, I ended up getting them welded. The set on the left are the "brainstorm" arms, which became pricey for their "royalties" and they wanted some absurd amount for the ball joint.

Nice job man. I've wanted a set of low pros forever but I'm too cheap to pay $450 for them. I'll see if I can follow your lead.

Thanks

oh the other option beyond JB weld is to drill two small holes and thru-bolt the parts in the offset shape. a couple of T-nuts (a la skateboard) or something might work real well. or drill and tap half and countersink the other. cheap as free.
