Home Online Machine Shop Fabricate Custom Parts Instant Pricing

Use their cad software, upload your design and spec what you want it made from and they machine it for ya - could be pretty usefull

their prices, last time I checked, were just a bit shy of "---- rape" compared to some of the low volume prototype shops i've used.

I think I saw that on the science channel! Was pretty neat, I think they made an Aluminum skateboard deck or something like that.

Yeah, their service is cool in that they provide you with a very novice-friendly 3d CAD package that has built-in shaded previewing and a great interactive pricing calculator that lets you experiment with all kinds of materials and machine operations. The downside is that they are shockingly expensive for very small quantities, even on simple operations like water-jet cutting.

If you just need one or two of something made, and repeatability isn't a concern, find a local fab shop.

or sucker one of the miataturbo.net cad gurus to whip up a drawing for you and then take it and submit it to a real shop.
