Default Engine Replacement

Yesterday my engine blew up on me. I was wondering if anyone knew a good place to get a used engine for good price. I will be doing the swap out my self and have been looking a Japanese import sites. Has anyone had any luck with theses? The car is a '97.

Are there really no junkyards near you containing Miatas, Kia Sephias, Mercury Tracers, Mazda Proteges or Ford Escorts?

I have to agree with Joe. I live on a freaking island and the local auto wrecker usually has 4-5 miata's with motors on his lot. It happens to be one of the best selling cars around, plus all the other vehicles that use a similar powerplant... finding a motor should be one of the easiest things you can do.
