Yes on the heater. Did not drill a hole, but did take out the brass air vent/ bleed valve (she was peggin the dash temp during warm up). It is (now a small hole) at 12 o'clock. That made a huge difference. Takes much longer to get up to normal operating temp.

Where did you connect the vacuum pump? Disreguard that, I see the vacuum operated evacuate/ fill kits.
