Default Exhaust manifold removal

So, im trying to remove my exhaust manifold in preparation of my BEGi S1 that is coming in this thursday. Im having problems removing the second nut from the right on the bottom. The egr pipe is in the way and i cant seem to get to it without removing the manifold. Is there a special trick to it? Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Wes

Uh, your exhaust manifold, right? I wouldn't think the EGR would be in the way, but if it is, is it just the tube? If so, remove it and get it out of the way. I used a 6 point socket with a swivel to get all my bolts off on my 99, I didn't have any trouble. Also you can buy sockets that have built in swivels, spap-on sells them. They are nice for stuff like this too, since they are short and can get in places a socket w/swivel attached can not. I have one in 12mm and I use it for doing the intake manifold, and it's nice. Also since the swivel is built in, it's stiffer and doesn't sag, so it's easier to get to the head of a bolt or nut when you can't touch it, like the bottom bolts on the intake manifold.

I just used a long extension and the appropriate socket, no trick really...just extending it to where you can actually crank...o yeah, the stock intake stuff has to be gone for that but should be
