Just curious about the service manuals that are in the "useful saved post section". I saved almost all of them the site had for the 94 Miata. Will these work for the 95's as well? there wasn't an option for the 1995 miata, it jumped from 94 to 97.

 

'95 was an unusual year. A number of changes occurred midway through in preparation for the OBD-II conversion.

Look at your ignition coils, specifically the low-voltage side. Do each of the connectors have four wires, or only three? If your coils have four wires, then you have an early '95 and the '94 wiring diagram will be correct. If your coils have three wires, then you have a late '95. The '94 diagrams will be about 90% accurate, with some minor variations in the ECU and engine wiring.

 

I think I got what you were talking about. I took a photo as best I could. I saw two plugs, one on each coil pack and they both had four wires coming out of them. Thanks for the information! Other than electrical wiring, I'm under the impression that the rest of the major assemblies and components the same across the 94-96 years. Correct?

 

I can't really tell from the pictures, but if those are four wire coils then it's an early 95, same as 94.

To answer your other question, nearly everything mechanical and interior is interchangeable from 94-97. Things like body and suspension are fully interchangeable back to 90.
