Default Fuji Racing

the company has kind of faded out recently, but i contacted Jimmy, and got one of his last 2 short shifters today which happened to be adjustable.

I must admit I like doing business with him. Fast shipping and affordable prices.

anyone have any experience with these shifters?

My 30 buck ebay one works perfectly... I just learned the fun way that you should reuse or get a new one of the bushing that is on the very bottom of it.

The ebay shifter works just fine. I would be willing to bet that the shifter you bought from Jimmy is about the same damn thing since he labels supertech **** FujiRacing.. etc.

+1, the bushing on the bottom looked like a drilled piece of nylon. I replaced it with a new mazda part and its worked perfectly ever since.

+1 Buddy had one, same symptom. Easy fix, then it was a fine product.

The best short throw shifter is the Simpson design one. I've had nothing but compliments on it and not one problem. It was my first mod to the miata.

The Simpson Design is not a short throw shifter,it's just a shifter with a shorter lever, the fulcrum ball is the same height as the stock shifter.

Steeda,C's,KG works,Mazdatrix and Mazdaspeed makes the best short throw shifters.

i dont know if he changed his shifter selection, or maybe if i installed it juuuuust right.

but i got around to installing the shifter finally, with a little bit of tapping and removal of the oem parts.........installed it and its solid. i wouldnt call it knotchy. its just right actually.

shifter height is still the same but has shorter throws now.

That would increase the length, but also increase the throw.

To do what Scott wants you have to do some fancy drawing and math/physics crap and come up with something like this:

Thats a duplicate of the Fastline Performance shifter. Short shifter with LONG shaft. Puts the **** right by the steering wheel.
