Garagestar seat mounts, lets discuss
So a few points I wanted to get input on as I'm getting close to driving my street build...
Before ventilating the block, I ran a Bride low max rep with GS mounts for the driver's side. Was a big fan of the setup since I didn't need certified seats for track use. Now I'm looking at getting a matching set up for the passenger side, however, I'm not sure if I want to stick with the Brides since it doesn't seem anyone above a 34 waist could fit.
What other seats have people run on the GS mounts? It seems only some side mount seats are compatible.
Additionally, anyone have experience with PLM mounts? They appear to be a copy of the GS mounts but I'd never seen them till they popped up in an ad today. I'm all for supporting original designers but with PLM being $100 less and US-based, they get my order.

I have some of the early GS seat mounts in the driver side with Recaro Pole Position. Really nice seat highly recommended, i'm 34 waist and it fits me with a little room to go.
I love my GS mounts, but those PLM ones look good too. Ill probably go garage star again though since i have other GS stuff on my car.

I am not sure what seats you can run, but definitely do NOT run sparco sprints with GS rails. The threaded mounting bosses are too low on the sprints, which when in conjunction with the GS rails, doesn't let you get the seat low enough. I figured this out the hard way and now have PCI mounts with my sprints and they work great.

I almost made that mistake a year ago but luckily I saw other people had issues. Wishing I had originally gone with the PCI mounts...

They're typical lowmax reps, same ones you see everywhere. They fit in great, no modifications needed and nothing inaccessible. Sitting in the seat itself would be pretty difficult though if you're a 34 waist or bigger

I’m about 5’ 10’. Yep I have the hard dog M2 bar and I fit with the broom stick. Now with that being said I’m close and the seat is on the ground in the back so if your any taller than that you might need to cut out the stock seat supports and bolt the mounts to the floor with the proper hardware.
