Just went through another cam sensor on my NB2. I'm going to run either the "Production Miata CAM Sensor" or the "Spec Miata CAM Sensor " from bmotorsports. For the Spec Miata version, is there any benefit to the potted and then crimped deutsch connector outsie of spec miata rules? If not, I will run the Production Miata Cam sensor which seems to be the same sensor but with a different connector.

Also, both kits do not use the factory cam sensor wiring. Would there be an issue doing a 'barrel splice' and create like a 'Y' adapter so that if never needed, I can switch back to an oem connector sensor? As more 'durable' bmotorsports cam sensors are, I would like to be able to throw in a oem style sensor if i'm ever left stranded...again.
