You flip and swap the calper brackets around, IE FR 1.8 becomes FL on 1.6, RR 1.8 becomes RL 1.6 etc. Which *might* make it harder to access the bleeder, but I didn't try so

"When it comes time to install the caliper brackets, make sure the slider pins remain on the same side as before. Did you pull the 1.8 brackets off the car yourself, or otherwise know with certainty the original position of the brackets as you installed them onto your 92? The 1.8 brackets are swapped to the opposite side on the 1.6. They only bolt up one way, and it's frackin obvious. It's not rocket science here.

You don't listen man. That last quote sums it up beautifully:
The calipers will only bolt up one way, so if you installed 1.8 brakes on your former 1.6, you followed this procedure. I don't give a rat's a if you remember doing it or not; you still did it. You didn't have a special, one off 92 miata, made with hybridized brake components that didn't exist until 94. And why the **** are you arguing that you did it wrongly anyway?
