Default Is this a good "budget" setup? (Under 3k)

My car,
1995 with PS no A/C
Megan Racing Catback
Jackson Racing Intake (never installed it just recently got it from a trade)

My planned setup (Hoping to get a 0-60 of 6s? which is about as fast as a stock frs/brz, s2k etc, not sure what that translate into hp numbers and what not) I do not track it and I never will its just a weekend toy. Im looking for an easy to install, reliable, budget setup
Used JR M45 S/C $1500? (seems to be the average asking price I see around)
Mega Squirt 2 PNP $800 (Does anyone make and sell them for less?
AEM Wideband $180
Yellow RX8 injectors $100
OBX Resonator (Cat delete) $80
ebay 4-1 stainless Header : $95
heat wrap and shield for header: $145 (wrap and then track dog heat shield is it worth it?)
MAF and EGR delete: $0 (I know ill have to get a plate or whatever but thats cheap)

All this totals under $3k is there anything better for that budget?

How about no m45, mk turbo set up. Then tune yourself and get an intercooler. Plus, get money back by selling your intake and exhaust.

No way your hitting sub 0-60 on a m45. Because my truck would smoke a miata with a m45, and it does 0-60 in a touch under 6 in 2wd.

What's this new fad where every other n00b is wanting the gayest crappiest supercharger known to mankind? If you want to be slow, just don't mod the car.

okay any other suggestions to stay under 3k? The MK Turbo seems to be in budget... is it any good?

There is a thread in the forsale section with nearly 1500 posts in it. Plenty of reviews in there. Or go look at the build thread section and and see god knows how many threads from people using my mkturbo setup.

Nope nowhere. Literally everyone who has ever purchased and installed it has had their lips sealed and their hands taped at their side so they can't use a keyboard on the internet. It's a mystery.

You can't purchase it normally either. You have to leave Sacajawea dollars under your pillow every night until the Lars Fairy comes to visit.

I have the 1.6 setup and was one of the first to experience it. It transforms your car on a budget. You find yourself laughing a lot when that turbo kicks in. Just a great well balanced setup. I highly recommend it.

I have it, it's awesome as hell for twice the price. Right now he's running a sale $3500 for literally everything you need to turbo your stock Miata including MS3. If you have $3k to spend on your Miata and you buy literally anything else you are retardus maximus.

Least of your worries. Worst case you might need to hammer some stuff for clearance.

Butterfly braces hit pretty much every aftermarket exhaust and are the most annoying things on the planet. I suggest you not let it deter you from glorious boost power. Throw out the butterfly brace if it doesn't clear.

I actually recently bought it and have yet to install it that really sucks :/ I could still use the frame rails though right? Also I do not want to mess with the clutch ir anything internally both engine and tranny wise. If my clutch were to go down the road then ill bring it to a shop and consider upgrading but for now I do not want to mess with anything internally. I imagine I would just have to limit the boost? what would be safe with stock internals and stock clutch? this is on my 95 so its the 1.8

Don't want to do the clutch now? Then don't bother. It won't hold it.

And yes, you could still use the frame rails. They do 90% of the work for 10000000% less pain in the ***.

My stock clutch held up fine at about 170-180 rear wheel, but it looked like **** when I swapped to the FM1 clutch.

A clutch is on the list of things to do when installing bewsty bits. The MKTurbo kit is designed to to work within the limits of the stock internals. The clutch is not considered to be part of the engine internals. It's a wear item. You don't need to install the clutch when you do the turbo install, but you're definitely going to slip the clutch at anything higher than like... 170-180 at the wheels. Why would you run the setup at 50ish hp less than its set up for?

I mean... I guess you could keep increasing the boost till you start slipping the clutch and then dial it back a couple of PSI... but that makes me sad.

Sell your butterfly brace and keep the frame rails...
