Seriously though, a sliding variable intake length would be pretty cool, mechanical feasibility aside.

Yeah - I used to worry about things like mechanical feasability, untill those wacky Europeans came out with the variable compression head. Now I just figure everything in possible.
I think, aside from rapid blipping of the motor, it would be easy. Then again, I think... that's what a lot of those valves effectively do - they don't vary length, but think of them as tuning a certain inductance in.



But! No no no, it's still not what I'm talking about, I wonder if I couldn't find little flow meters I could build in, I'm sure bike parts would be fine. I figure I'm making 75 hp per cyl, but it's in spurts, so maybe a row of 4, 200 hp throttlebodies would work. I wonder how fast heated wires respond?

Oh, and BMG is totally going to play my next bar-mitzvah. They rock out with their, um, socks out.
