My mind is boggled. How ******* hard is it to put the right product in the right box? Really?

well, i think it was because i called them a few times asking them when it was going to be shipped. They told me on Monday that the ship would arrive from china later this week and orders would be going out after that. Then i got a shipping label emailed to me 20 minutes after the call, and it arrived today. I just guess they figured i would be a satisfied customer or something. In fact I am because i was having second thoughts about the raptor kit.

Not cheap and of course it's all used but the quality has to be top knotch.

I'm sure you've considered this. Why'd you rule it out?
You've got me a little confused. Rule out what? I plan on using used projector lenses from an OEM vehicle. Yes the good ones cost ~$200. I plan on using some from an s2k. I'm only going to do it if they fit where I want them to. I don't want pop-ups...If I can get what I want I'll have HIDs, and no barn doors for less money than low-pros on the market.

I will post pics of it installed later.

Anyway, assume they are ~$100, but I think I can get it cheaper. Once I know how many people are in, I'll see what I can get the price knocked down to. I imagine with 10 we'd be looking at a nice discount.

You can get them in any color (I'm happy with 4500), and they also happen to work very well in a suzuki TL1000R :-) They come with a few different blinders to accommodate different headlight set ups, but didn't require adjusting on my car after putting it.

Abe I'm in, if no group buy than just please set me up with a link to what I need, you have the 4500k are they available in 5000k-6000k?

Johndoe,

Are you thinking about them DIY'd into the turn signal opening? I've been considering that too. Not sure how to make it look good. Also not sure about managing heat.

When I mentioned "ruled out" it looks like you are planning to buy used projectors but install a new hid kit. I have seen bi-xenon set ups including projectors, bulbs, wiring, ballasts etc. as complete salvage units. I was considering buying one of these. I would guess that the OEM ballasts, wiring, etc would be higher quality than the aftermarket cheaper stuff. I'm undecided on cheap new vs quality used for the electronics. It looked like you had made up your mind.

Check out 350z projectors. Those things are tiny. (at least the glass part is)

Yes in the turn signal housings. I figured I'd try it. If it won't fit I'll resell the projectors, if they do fit I'll try it and see if it melts anything... I am actually undecided about whether to go aftermarket or OEM used for ballasts ect. I'm leaning towards aftermarket because of the lifetime garauntee. I figured my hood and headlight lids got fucked by the truck that scraped them up so I might as well ditch all of them and get the ISC hood and try to do away with the barn doors. This is going to be a late spring early summer project though as I'm insanely busy until may unfortunately. Thanks for the tip on the projectors.

They fucked up all 3 of the kits I ordered. When I called them to explain that I did not receive what I paid for so they did not fulfill their end of our contract, the ******* guy actually LAUGHED. His name was Alex. He was a pee on. I was unable to talk to "the manager".
Recommend very highly staying away from DDM.

Wow ben, thats pretty crazy that they are being so gay about the whole thing. I dont think i will order from them again in the future. I dont think the kit i have is about to fail but it is also not what I ordered. Seems there are some issues over there and its going to be hurting their business.

On a side note: Sorry guys, i still haven't taken pictures yet. Still have not gotten the aim to where I want but the lighting is just amazing compared to stock. I got 4500 lights and they make the stockers look plain yellow and I would not want any more blue.

I got pseudo HIDs from gomiata. They're ok....but I miss the projector style HIDs that we have on our other vehicles.

I sell both BiXenon and standard HID kits made by a company called Alumina. Excellent lights and the smallest ballest we have seen to date most are atleast twice the size available from like 6000K to 10000K in almost every bulb style in the world. Pricing point is retardedly cheap ~$280CAD for a standard kit to ~$380CAD for a BiXenon kit these are a plug and play system. Replacement bulbs are usually about $100 for a two pack. I have dealt with four other brands of HIDs all have been more expensive and crappier, but I digress...I remember when an HID kit was a couple grand and the ballasts weighed 10lbs each, ha just like cellphones!

You must be smoking crack. I've revised my opinion on these kits. I will be getting the cheapest one I can find on ebay that ships from the US. Should be about $70 shipped for a 50w kit. 95% of these are from the same manufacturer with varying degrees of price markup.

Bought some from HID Systems on Ebay and running them now for about 3 month and knock on wood no problems. They were 60 shipped.

I hate to dig this back up.. Sorry.

Those of you running the HIDs in the NA are you getting resets on your ECU when you switch them on?

I can’t turn mine on without the car almost crapping out. It seems like the initial voltage/wattage required to power them up is way too much for the stock wiring system. This is with an optima redtop battery.

These are the Xentec HIDs of egay.

I have an entire replacement wiring harness made of lower gauge wire that I might as well put in, hoping that will help. If not I'll just wire them to pull power straight from the battery/alternator. It seems like someone had already done this, but I can’t find the thread.

Its taken me almost 2 months to all right parts for a D2S 55 watt 5k kit from DDM. I have had to call at least 6 times.

I spent 30 minutes on hold with them once as well....I finally hung up. What really sucks is that if they would have made this smooth....I would have ordered 3 dozen kits.

Here is where all the kits come from. You can find every single kit on ebay on this site.

Products show
I like how they have (almost) one page for the light kits, then 3+ pages of the different packaging options they offer so the egay sellers can try to convince the world that they aren't selling the same exact **** at various levels of markup. My favorites are the box labeled "American HID," the one with just the big eagle and flag background, and the German-looking "Bocsh."
