So I broke the bolt that holds the CPS on my NB1. To remedy this I made a new bracket which uses the AC compressor bracket bolt. This bracket then swings down and positions the CPS at about 5 o'clock on the crank wheel. I can then swing the CPS up towards the wheel and its fairly tangent to the timing wheel. I've gapped the CPS to one credit card distance away from one of the teeth on the wheel. I've also spaced out the bracket so that the timing wheel is about 1/2 halfway between the face on the CPS.

I still can't get any RPM sync. Could the orientation of the sensor (About 11 o clock) be screwing with the hall effect readings?

No idea about the clocking position. I do know that to get my 36-2 wheel to work, the sensor has to damn near touch the wheel. Tried three sensors all with similar results.

With my 949 36-2 wheel I did not have to change the position of the crank sensor any differently from when I ran the stock 4 tooth wheel. I put a credit card in between the tooth and the sensor and that has always been good.
