The scratches on the bar are from the rear bolt in the bracket before I took it off. The driverside has about an 1/8th inch of clearance, still not enough room for a bracket. Any as advice besides cutting the rear tab off my brackets and using just the front bolt? The car got rearended a long time ago and the hardtop has never fit quite right so I can't really blame the roll bar manufacturer.

you sure that's a hard top bar? the hard core will also fit with the top... but top latches will ram into the bar.

I'm fairly sure it's a HT bar. I ordered it new from them, and the main hoop sits pretty far back ( it's below the panel right in front of the glass). It's not the end of the world that I'd have to cut my brackets, just a bit disapointing. Think inspectors will give me a hard time about having only one bolt(in the top itself) on each side bracket? I'm not gonna be doing anything crazy, just trackdays and what not.
