Default Helluva deal on NA e-code headlights

At the risk of this sounding like a Miata.net post, I thought I'd share a deal I found...

FM recently had a group buy on Bosch e-code headlights. I picked up a pair, and will vouch for their excellence. They're stamped "DOT" and "Motorcycle" but the light they throw is almost identical to automotive e-codes. Not sure what your local inspection station will say, but I don't think TX gives a **** as long as both headlights are burning..

Anyhow, the FM group buy is over, but you can still get the exact same lights HERE.

Enjoy.

FM has the 2 lamp set for $69.95 now that the original GB is over. Keith said at Mnet they may do it again.

Googlez..

From Susquehanna Motorsports, a reputable seller:

$71.75ea Amazon.com: Hella 90mm Low Beam Headlight, H9 Bulb, Connectors, Adjusters, Each: Automotive

$67.25ea Amazon.com: Hella 90mm High Beam Headlight, H9 Bulb, Connectors, Adjusters, Each: Automotive

Every once in a blue moon I'll search ebay and find someone selling a high/low pair for around $110.00 plus shipping. Just search "Hella 90mm" and from what I hear the low beams are HID friendly as is, just add your ballast and bulb. I recommend DDMTuning HIDs cause they're HELLA cheap! 30 bux right now for a lowbeam kit! http://www.ddmtuning.com/index.php?p...=102&parent=85 Grab up an extra pair of bulbs for 15 bux. Did I mention they offer a lifetime warranty on the ballast AND bulbs?

The lights will be a little more than half the cost of a Moss kit, and if you happened to find an old brainstorm kit laying around it'd save you a lot of fab work. About the only reason I haven't done this yet is my fab skills currently really suck and I don't want something that looks like garbage with my name on it..

Good luck, and if you do it make sure its documented with pl0x and post...

90mm, sunny bish, 90mm. I've been looking for headlights in inches!

This is still a little too rich for my blood, so I'll still look in junkyards for stuff that might work. We'll see.

Thank you very much for the heads up!

For future reference Highbeam: 008191057
Lowbeam: 008193027
Searching for these numbers nets slightly cheaper lights.

Actually it's my mistake. 99% of the time you see these lamps for sale the pricing is for EACH. I didn't read the OP's link well enough and just figured the $44.95 was per lamp where the FM buy was for a pair. Actually the OP's link is priced per PAIR too. Bulbs like FM included are another $8. Great deal on that link.

You can also get the knock-offs on ebay for pretty cheap...mine have been holding up for about a year now without any issues.
