Default HELp!

Need help! My miata has this weird ticking noise from the driver side dash when i turn my steering wheel to the left. no signals butt it sounded like an indicator flash. I have figured that it maybe the reason why my pop up headlight doesn't close.. the hazard light switch seems to be interfering with my pop up.. if i press the pop headlight button, it will open but not close, it will only close if i press the hazard light switch above it, of course you still have to release the headlight pop button..
I am worried that could be the cause, that it stalled my car when i maneuvered my steering wheel left and right continuously and was unable to idle afterwards until today.

Have anyone experience such issues before?

Have you recently disconnected your steering column from the steering rack?

You took the dash out and messed up some wiring. That would be my guess.

why would you remove the rack, in order to remove the dash?
