livable and simplified. I'm looking at failure points now, and instead of 9 bolts to **** with, I'll have 3 clamps that won't get brittle and break.
Not deafening, but lame. I like my street cars pretty quiet, but my real problem with wastegate dumps is that they sound horrendous. Like as bad as Fran Dresher dragging her nails down a chalkboard.
I ran mine this way for a week while fabricating the wastegate branch, sounds terrible.
At boost and WOT it was totally obnoxious, killed all the sweet sound of the rest of the system.
Just run it VTA for a week, then weld in the branch if you don't like it.

I'm trying to understand how this would make things easier...
You want to make an internally wastegated turbo DTA?
Are you going to v-clamp the turbine exit somehow (welded fitment?) and just let the wastegate flapper vent into a pipe that goes under the car?
I don't understand how you could make a v-band setup with your turbo and not still have the WG join back up 18" down the line.
I would say "we need more info to help you noob" but I know you're just looking for opinions on noise. My opinion is your exhaust sounds ******* awesome right now, and I don't think dumping WG would improve it any, and would certainly get you unwanted attention from all directions: cops, ricer thieves, tranny hookers, etc.

Its really cool right now on the track because you can't hear the turbo...you just see a green miata with a lot of hp raping. I'm so confused right now. Hold me.
OMG that's sex!
You were internal right?
Is this part of your big plan to avoid fasteners altogether?
Please explain.
I know I'm being annoying, but I'm really just interested in how this is going to work.
I do think DTA is a baaad idea, although on the road you may hardly every trip that WG since you probably hit 200rwtq with 60% of your max boost.

I think you want to just keep changing your car. Do what you need to fix your fastener problem...but keep that sweet exhaust and ninja potential you've got. Everyone hears the gorillas and elephants coming...it's the panthers that strike fear.
Don't you know this **** from your special ops training?

Find the fastener fix and I'll buy it immediately. I want to drive the car, not work on it.
I had a EWG with a VTA on my old 2g. It was loud but it wasn't like I am going to go insane from it. But everyone could hear when I it opened that was for sure.
As for it on a street car. It depends on your driving style. If you just put around and only give it part throttle and don't hit your max boost often it liveable on the street. AKA not ever cop will be gunning for you. If you gun it also or if running low boost then it retard as it will be open over 75% of the time and will get you in deep **** with cops, neighbors and will most likely give you a headache.
As for a track car... IDK I am not sure, depends of if you want to listen it all the time. Kinda like running an open downpipe it just loud and after a in while it gets annoying, but I will admit it does make plumping easier and also never had an boost creep even when running my EWG off the O2 housing instead of the manifold.

Everyone take notes. This is how you make a proper post.
