Default How many 300+hp cars we have? rear end tales?

I'm basically looking to gather some info on the strength of the 1.8 rear end at or around 350hp & 320tq.

I called rick at RM about the T2 rear swap, and I guess he doesnt do them anymore. he said that he just put a quality diff in the case, and it hold up "to around 500hp".

I wont be launching the car for drag racing, but the car will see it share of abuse on the track.

just wanna get some info

I've honestly never heard of a 1.8 rear shredding unless it was being drag raced. Track abuse is just high rpms held constant, shifting and power delivery remains smooth.

I also cant recall anyone on here ever breaking a 1.8 rearend. OTOH, not too many people in the 300+ range on here either.
