My old 1.6 had 234K when I lost a coolant hose and cooked it. It was running great until that time. My 1.8 has around 3K on the new build.

First turbo setup I put on around 4-5 years ago with 50k miles. Now I'm going on my second kit with 70k miles. Stock 1.6 SNC, but I've had a torsen since day one.

Good lord do some of you even drive your Miata's. I put an average of 1500 miles a month on mine (not turbo yet). Ive put about 550 miles on my engine non turbo... and like 115k on the chassis. I hope my turbo setup lasts past 200k on the chassis, which should only take a few years.

Paul turbo'd his daily at about 250K and its at like 288K now I think. I think that was in less than a year. No problems but he's swapping in a 99 motor in a couple weeks just because he can.

One guy I've seen at the track a couple of times bought his 1.6 with 60K on it, ran a JR supercharger for 60K, removed it in favor of an FM kit, and put another 100K on it. So 220K miles, 160K of which were boosted, on the original motor. Granted I don't think he's running monstrous power levels, but that's a lot of boosted miles. Was still running fine last I saw it (November). This thread gives me hope that a motor swap won't be an immediate necessity post-turbo.

00' Bought and ran stock (well non-turbo anyway) from 18k ~ 85K, turbo'd from ~85 - 150K @12psi street tune (def over 200whp). Turbo setup is fine - my issues are related to stupidity at one point or another and or bad parts. Anyway I love it so much a new motor and top is goin in/on soon :-) And this is my 8th set of tires :-P Turbo that thing and njoy :-D
