Looking for a turbo build. Just looking for the right miata. I came across this today. Im looking for a project but nothing to major. What do you guys think of this? To me it looks alright. Hard to tell tho.
looking to make about 180-200hp. The reason i dont want to big of a project is because i dont have to much time and dont want this thing to be sitting aroiund for year. Any thought?

Dont even buy that for 500 if you dont have a lot of time. It hasnt been running in FOUR years. You are basically buying a shell.

 

Ditto. I bought a high milage na for $1600 and I've seen several people here get one for $1200. Hell a local high schooler bought a turd for $800, it leaks oil and the top is garbage but it seems to run ok.

If you're looking to go turbo I'd recommend getting a 94+. If I had known then, what I do now, that's what I would do...

 

Mechanically, I could probably get that running in a few days. But I would then spend months cleaning it. And it's still a red 1.6 after all that work.
