I wrote the judge a letter and it came back with a stamped "PAY FINE" on it. That really pissed me off so I said screw it, I'm not paying. 6 months later I got a letter saying that my driving privileges had been revoked in VA. Who cares? I'll just drive around the damn state. About 6 months after that South Carolina said they were going to come after me to. I broke down and paid the damn thing. The thing was the storm was so bad that I couldn't even see. I pulled over behind a group of about 10 cars (about .5 miles past the first exit in southern VA on I-77). I fell asleep waiting for the rain to stop and the next thing I know a cop was banging on my window. I guess next time they want me to crash and burn over a guard rail or something!
I hit no mans land going to third back when I had my old FM II '90 at the dragstrip. This had been mentioned a few times back on the old Miatapower list. The consensus was flex from the torque of a high power motor but nobody knew why the lever would be in 3rd gear, but the car felt like it was in neutral. Some guy made a gate that assured a clean shift to 3rd that went over the lever. Seemed to work for him. I sold my car before I attempted to fix the problem. It seemed pretty random.

Something definitely happend internally a while back. I can't describe it but something is broken/breaking in there. Plans are to get a used tranny and then I'll take this one apart and see if I can find the problem.
It could still be a damaged shift fork in the tranny, it would be a first time I've heard of it in a miata, but it's common in the honda world (buddy fragged them in his integra monthly). You HAVE to tear this one down so you can tell us what happened.

I dont understand why its hard for you guys to find the 2-3 shift under load. I hit that **** every time under full boost. I havent missed that shift in years ( no joke ). I have MS mounts, not sure how much of a difference that makes.
yea i've missed one shift in my miata ever....... and i was slidin sidewas which makes it a lil harder when r bn thorwn around a bit, but my miata deffently has the best shifting of any cars i've owned.....including a couple hondas. ppl that say they make the smothest shifting cars needa try one of ours haha.
