if you had an RB bumper, how would you mount the oil cooler and brake ducts?

I'm perplexed. I want to stick the oil cooler right behind the passenger side "big hole," but where do I put that brake duct afterward?

brake ducts in turn signal holes? You could probably easily plumb a hose down through the fender...

That's all I can come up with, and not sure that its possible.

Pozmatron, get an Rx7 cooler and put it up in the bumper. No airflow needed (I saw temps of 160-170 in 80 degree ambient with *no* airflow to the cooler). Stick the ducts in the big holes, block off the small holes.

Would it be possible to over cool with the oil cooler there? Why not just put it above the IC with some ducting or a hole in the nose?

Doesn't the rx7 cooler have a 140* t-stat? I want one without a t-stat built in.

Because its too hard to get air out, through the oil cooler, from above. Also, my fmic touches the bumper support.

Um, through the oil cooler then through the rad, just like the fmic.

um...no heat-exchangers share air on his set-up. I'd love to cut that shit in the middle out of my bumper...but its a street car and I have to mount a license plate there.

There are no holes in his bumper. No direct airflow. Works flawlessly.

Mount it there and be done, only bad part is if you hit someone or something, so don't.

So mount it, Monsieur Virgin. My bumper is unmolested. The cooler sees absolutely no airflow. Oil temps are actually too low. (this confuses me, too.)

Sure. You just posted them. It's the 4 bolts into the main support right there, and then a frame that goes across the wood. It's bolted into the subframe in the back (where the stock plastic undertray mounts).

Hustler, sounds like the RX-7 cooler is a good bet. My only worry is the not infrequent cooler track days in the PNW (probably not a problem for you in Texas). There was an Autocross earlier this year in Washington with an inch of snow. That's an extreme, but you get the point. With that RX-7 oil cooler, although it doesn't need airflow, you're unable to block airflow to help keep oil warm. If you do have a cooler track day (even you Sav, if you ever wanna visit ORP), you're kinda screwed.

Slight thread jack, which side of the oil filter sandwich plate should I be taking temperatures? I'm assuming the cooler, post oil cooler, side, but is the filter fed from the center stud, or is that the return from the filter?

You should have seen the crowd it drew at the autox a few weeks ago.
