Ditto. When the impact cant handle it (think honda crank pulley bolts and axle nuts) I put the jack handle on my 1/2" ratchet and stand on it with all my weight. It hasn't failed yet and i've done this a million times.

Never thought about the ratchet breaking, cause it never has. I do this ALL the time at work to box end, adjustable, and allen wrenches, as well as breaker bars and ratchets. You know it's tight when you need at 24" adjustable wrench with a 5ft. piece of pipe on the end.

I did quite a bit of deburring on the inside and outside of my block. pretty rough in some places.
