and then i noticed that there are two different types of springs, one for exhaust and one for intake ... damnit. So im going to have to swap four on each side (the other ones were right by chance). I was hoping to be finished with retainers. Anyway, heres the tidbit of information for the forum:

on a 1.6 (93 in this case) there are exhaust springs which have rounded coils, and iuntake springs which are sort of diamond shaped coils. Damnit.

Anyway, once i get this done, i can bolt the head to my rebuilt block and start prepping it to drop in.
