So I am helping my friend sell her miata....and we start talking...and before you know it...I am swapping my Racing Beat style bar for her Hard Dog Stainless Duece!!
Spent the day installing new Battery, Plugs, wires, oil + filter (its the least I could do) and swapping bars. Ran out of time today so tomorrow I will be doing Hard Dog install..anybody want to share info or experience with their install?? Problems?? Time?? Tricks??

Nice trade. I would swap the package tray from the other car, as it is already trimmed to fit the roll bar. As for mounting the rest, drill the holes, and bolt it in. It looks like it will mount a hell of a lot easer then my boss frog double did.
Do me a favor and take some pics of the plastics behind the seat after the install, I just want to see what it looks like.
I want to get a roll bar but I dont like how it destroys the plastics and requires a lot of cutting.

Just got home from Duece install.....sad to say it does look like a "style" bar
BUT..I feel safer now. install was pretty easy...directions were pretty much useless. I ended up using cardboard as a template for cutting package tray. it turned out pretty nice. Someone asked me for pics..they were concerned about the interior getting all "hacked" up. Take your time and plan things out....hardly noticeable. side note..wear gloves..cut my hands up pretty good on sheet metal
First pic is Racing Beat style bar...then the install
