I was changing my oil and when I went to grab a filter from the tool shed I saw this crud inside the filter. I don't know if it's some kind of glue or sealant used in the manufacturing. You can take an exacto knife and scrape it. It has a thick jelly like texture. I'm not going to take a chance and use it. I don't want chunks of whatever that is going unfiltered into my engine. It was the last filter I had. I wiped out the old on and there was nothing there. Now I'm going to have to walk a mile to oriellys to get a new filter! It's my daily for now. There's a 110 degree heat index now. I hate working in this heat.
