I would, but I'm still trying to iron the wrinkles out of it.

I'm tempted to try and find a S2000 shell, put a BP turbo setup in it, and then go post my build in hondatech.

Full fail would be an NSX and drop a 3.8L GM v6 in it.

A 12cm HX35 with a properly designed split scroll manifold will spool faster than a hy35. I have logs and dyno sheets to prove this.

Also, it is a bad idea to get turbo tech from honduh boyz. There is no sense in running a large turbo on a small engine at low (read 6-8psi) boost levels. We run smaller turbos because they offer the power that we want and also have a very fast spool giving a broader powerband.

If you cant tune for **** or have a setup that cant handle any real IAT increase then you cheapest bet is a slow lazy turbo with high efficiency and a low pressure ratio.

I feel bad for the Honda guys who know WTF they are doing. It must be like the experience of a MENSA member at a Raiders game.

It would be pretty awesome if Miatas had a B or K series engine stock.

Ha! I saw a beautiful '32 Ford coupe hot rod last night at a car cruise like this:

When I got close I saw that had a GM 3.8 V6 and a carburetor. I cried out in anguish and tore my robes then put ashes on my head.

I'd say that proportion of one to a football stadium full is about right when it comes to knowledgeable Honda guys.

I can image we'd be just like em if we had the B & K motors in our cars. Every other idiot putting out 400-500hp with huge laggy turbos ruining the driveability and character of the Miata. Faak. One reason for the higher percentage of knowledge and thoughtfulness on this forum is it takes work to make power with the Mazda BP.

I really wish we could make easy power like those damn honda motors do though.

Thats a really good point, I never thought of it that way. Looking at it that way now, your dead-on that these cars would have ended up the exact same way.

The 3800 is OK if it has turbos on it. The GNs are sweet IMHO. If the Miata engine bay was limited by length instead of width a 3800 would be an awesome option.

For a 3 window high boy, its...not what I would go with......

I have a grand prix with a 3.1 and a blown turbo, the miata would have that if at all possible, but the turbo mounts on the back of the engine. Fak. To much **** would have to happen for it to work.

Hey OP everyone's just ******* with you. Three years ago I made 400 torques in a 1.6 stock everything. A lot of nitrous though. A 1.8 should be no problem. Post a video so we can see the end product of your build. Good luck!
