The only real functionality I can see is that whoever built this car put the intake real close the the vented section of the hood... probably in hopes to pull in fresh cold air. You can tell heat is escaping from the vent due to the mere fact that you can see air condensate around the lower part of the windshield on a cold day.

<wonders what hood risers would do if there wasn't a pesky windshield to get in the way>

Who cares about the intake. You don't need a CAI, you have a turbo. Want 5 more hp? Turn the boost up.

True True true!!!! I'll see what I can do. As far as boost goes i'm running about 14 psi spiking at 16, I wouldn't feel comfortable turning it up anymore w/o meth inj.

Don't worry hoodrisers going off after autocross tomorrow... it's funny how all the people with no lives troll forums and try to give grammar lessons. I really don't know how the forum has made it so far with all of these 45 year old miata driving a$sholes criticizing every sentence i put on a forum. If I wanted a grammar lesson I would go back to clemson, then back to med school. You old troll's will never amount to anything, so get a life and get off my threads. If I want your opinion directly i'll ask you immature old fooksticks.

Thanks to everyone that liked i though, I love the car. I found a really big boost leak that had been getting worse, so bad my intercooler piping blew off the intercooler. Hooked it back up, nothing but super smooth acceleration all the way to redline.

lol, most the people trolling you are under 30.

If you want to get trolled by old people, go to miata.net.

If you'd rather hang out with young hipsters that don't give a **** about grammar, hard data, or knowledge in general - go to clubroadster.net.

If you want to go fast, learn ****, and probably get flamed, stay here.

I'll have you know I stopped playing PC games in my mom's basement for long enough to troll you.

Kidding, I was playing them in my own basement.

That's because this place doesn't revolve around you.

See the millions of threads with actual data in them, rather than "immature young fucksticks" (you can swear on the internet it's ok) showing off their plastidip and hoodrisers. If you haven't read the recent thread about ignition timing by JoeP, I suggest you do so. It is fascinating, and I don't even have a standalone to adjust my timing yet.

I can't even fathom how you'd mis-spell "********" like that with the "$" sign. Not only is it NOT next to the "S," you have to hit a second key as well! It's like willfully being stupid!
