Default Looking for wire tuck pics

Searched and didnt find much.

Since my 93 is going to sitting for another estimated 2 more months ive decided to take on a full engine bay wire tuck. I have nothing but time and who doesnt appreciate a clean engine bay?

I have a few idea's on how to tackle this from the few pics i seen but would like to see more if anyone wants help out.

I,ll do a picture journal of the progress incase anyone else in the future would like to do this too.

I've seen a few threads like this over the years..always ends up the same, there's a few people who have done full tucks, a few more that have done partials.. noone has made a real write up of any kind. I'll see if I can't find my old stash of pictures I found when I was planning on a tuck for you.

Check CR.net. I saw a few cars that had unbelievably clean egnine bays. But none of them were turbocharged.

Mighty mouse did a wire tuck and has a few pics in his build thread. Other than that, I can't remember much.

I'll be doing mine on the V8 car, seeing as there will be zero wires in it when I paint the engine bay. No pics at the moment.

Cspence. Nice setup you have there. What is the suspension setup, and how does the wheel not go through the fender under compression? I didn't think there was even that much travel available? EDIT i see in your sig it says koni yellows and H&R but are you having any difficulties? no internal bottoming of the shock? Control arm/frame problems? Damn!

I don't have the ***** or time to do any kind of wire tuck like that VW, but I will search up that 'tranny tuck' hustler speaks of, sounds promising.

Im going to repaint the engine bay since i have EVERYTHING out right now minus the firewall.

You are not allowed to touch anything else until the frame rail is fixed.

No issues to speak of. In my wheel wells you can see where the tires have rubbed under compression, but nothing crazy. I think things would be drastically different if I didn't have the top hats...

My car.

On a 99-00 it is easy as I relocated the headlight wires to the fenders, and all the wires to the front of the motor were routed in the crevice of the intake manifold.

I need to clean up the firewall area, but the motor is out of the car right now...

If you want to do it the easy way you can copy me, I haven't cut or lengthened anything, just unplugged everything and run it right up under the lip for the front guards
