Rafa,
I've commented some in the vendor forum under Flyin Miata "cat outta the bag". I'll probably just update that with a link to the M.net thread.
I know everyone here are big fans.

I agree with you Frank but for some reason, I'd be interested in a V8 swap if I ever decided to buy an RX7. Maybe is the size of the car or how it sits. I hope I don't ever get too enthused with the idea. I know my wife will most definitely kill me if I do it.
An FD with an LS swap is an ultimate sports car. If this wasn't a summer pleasure car, I'd do that. But I'd probably just find a well sorted out one. When I'm finished, I'd be hard pressed to be able to sell the car for the amount of money that's into it.

wow, VERY nice Frank.......yeah the reason i started looking at them is cause my friend (who also plans on getting a miata soon) is going ape **** about these ls1 and ls6 swaps, and will accept nothing less than a v8 under a hood of his miata, and that got me thinking.......im a big turbo freak, but i mean c'mon: the power of a v8 is ridiculous.....still will probably go turbo but this is so tempting
For me the lsx swaps are more than tempting, but a matter of money.
Another nice ls1 swap writeup, http://home.comcast.net/~npartist/
It looks really easy imo, and could be done for 8-10 gs pretty easy.
If i had the money...

LS6 has some upgrades over the LS1. Better heads/valves/intake/cam. Probably worth about 40 whp or so.
npartists page is nice. I'm not a big fan of the RC kit as the original one left the diff too low and the K-member changed the geometry of the steering which caused bump steer. Also they don't require modding the tranny tunnel which is nice from a work standpoint but puts a bit more weight up front and more importantly sits the shifter a bit too close to the console for my liking. They have addressed some of those issues though.
4g63Ts LS1 swap didn't sell with a $16K reserve. It was in an NA. Mine would be worth more since it's an '01 NB with Fatcat suspension, 6UL, fresh LS6 with new bearings/rings/cleaned up heads. It's also pass the OBDII.
This **** certainly isn't cheap. But if I need to sell, I'd get closer the the cost of the car than I would selling a well sorted out turboed/built motored car.
