VIN doesn't always work because there are guys like me who steal LSD out of other cars to put my open diff back in them. Physically testing is the only way to know if it's a working LSD.

 

The tan top and tan leather seats make it an LS/LP, which were standard with Torsens if they came with manuals. (No automatic NBs ever came with Torsens).

Of course, that was 15 years ago and someone like Bond could have swiped it, but that's unlikely.

If the BOSE is original then probably an LS w/ Torsen.

 

One wheel on gravel/dirt/leafs and one wheel on pavement, 5k clutch dump. Did it leave marks on the pavement? Easiest test besides a donut.

 

Call the VIN verification line again. I called after looking at a parts car, and the "helpful" person on the line said there was no Torsen in the diff of the car I was looing at. Called back twice and got a yes each time, and after some further research confirmed that it did.

 

Guys. Probably a dead conversation. Guy said someone else left a deposit on the car.
