Default Maybe you can help.

So heres my problem. This started happening out of no where. So Im driving my car and I felt like passing this car on the road. So as I came flying down past him or her my car at about 4 to 5 thousand Rpm backed off hard like a fuel cut would act. Its like loud pops and the Rpm wont climb until I let off. I was thinking at first maybe my coils are going bad and there cutting out. So I changed them and the problem is still there. So then I thought it must be fuel then, I changed my fuel filter and the problem is still there. I also took out the Vortech 12:1 FMU thinking maybe its bad. But the problem is still there. I hope my fuel pump is not giving out. Oh yea and this problem only happens in boost. If I lightly step on the gas and stay out of boost and let the RPM climb It will go all the way up there. I took out my spark plugs and there showing white (which is lean i guess).

Heres my set up:

Greddy intercooled @ 6 psi
2.5 from the test pipe back
305cc with Vortech FMU

I had a similar problem, it ended up being the spark plugs.

pop is usually backfires. so either its super rich or the spark is cutting out. what size gap on the plugs?

I think I figured it out. I pulled my plugs and found them really white. So I hook up a Fuel pressure gauge at the pump right where the tank is at, and it read 40 psi (book says 65 to 85 psi). So I figured that my pump is just giving out. I ordered a walbro 190 last night. I hope that will fix it.

I left them alone. They were NGK V-power. I just bought BKR7E.
