Default MazdaSpeed info?

Thinking about buying a 04-05 MSpeed... do you guys know what turbo and spec it comes with..suspension, differential, and is it worth the money? just want something newer..

I would say no to the MSMX5 i would go with a NB and then add what you want. No reason to buy a car with extra abuse on it.

i'm 99% sure the MSM uses an IHI RHF5 with a proprietary exhaust flange.

The Turbo is an IHI RFH5. the OEM Exhasut mani can only be used with the IHI Turbo that came with the car. New ones can only be Purchased through Mazda.

First off whats the goal of this car? DD or track monkey?

daily driver, and low 13s on the 1/4? i uderstand that this car is only doing high 14s in the 1/4. what's the stock boost on these car anways?

I would buy a late in the year 2000 Miata have the Thrust Bearing issues checked out and if that's clear then buy a BEGI-S kit and an aftermarket Suspension.. Would be a way better option with a better upgrade path IMHO.

Buy a cheap '99-00. Add the parts you want. Make sure it doesn't have the crank issue and have fun with it. The only reason to get the mazdaspeed is if you want run stock class in autocross or something similar to that. If you want real reliable power, instead of a turbo that detonates, then get a car and add your own kit.
