so if i went with a 15 or 16" rim 9" wide in the rear and 8 - 8.5" wide in the front...what size tire would be best suited for cruisin around town/highway driving? im not looking to go to a track with this setup either.

depends on how low your car is/tranction desires/rolling pulling of your fenders/ and wheel offset.

This is very generic, but it will help you get an idea. Here

I have stretched tires on my car, so what! I like how it feels, esp. when drifting and that's what I mostly use my car for. Also you pretty much have to stretch the tires to fit low offset wheels, and I need those with increased steering angle, like mxeva said. Of course there limits to stretching, my friend stretched 255/45/18 tires on a 12" wide rim and I think it's too much. But he drifted it like crazy with no sealing problems. But putting 205/40/16 on a 16x8, what I have, is not that big of a deal, and looks good I think.

While we are on the subject, what's the lowest offset can you run on stock (unrolled) guards with 7" wide wheels?

Hey Rusman,

How close is that set-up to the stock tire radius?

i plan on running 15x8s with 205s, it's not a very extreme stretch, but it should be good to stiffen up the sidewall, which is the most important quality of a street tire to me.

The wheels are the only thing I don't like, they just look too big. They fit the style though, so they aren't ugly or anything. I'd drive it with some 14's. I like the carbon fiber hardtop.

Peter's car when he still had the 13x8 +4 Rota RBs. I think he's really going for uniqueness over anything else.

****, if you guys don't like the stretched wheels and tires, you should see his trunklid.

Braineack, the trunklid is mild compared to the kid on CR.net that posted pictures of his "homemade" exhaust that he put together using rubber elbows and plumbers pipe from Homedepot.

The worst part of it is,everyone was telling him how good of a job he did and how good it looks and all that ****.

BTW did you see the thread where the guy painted his entire car with Rino Liner?Let me save you the trouble in looking for the thread.Everyone thought it looked good.

The Herculiner car is crazy. I've seen a truck that was professionally painted that way. Think it added close to 200 lbs to the F-250.

he details the crap out of the car and makes it look top notch, then makes his trunk lid look like I took a **** on it....

and again with the goddamn missing finish panel....If you can't seriously understand why people think it's retard, then it's no use.

No, you're right, that's bullshit. I don't understand people. And I don't understand why people deffend them with: "he's a chill guy, he's nice, his car is unique," and etc. A lot of idiots are nice. Doesn't mean I would shed a tear if they got hit by a train.

What's the deal with the trunk anyway? Is it supposed to be something or did he drop a bucket of exterior house paint on it from a ladder and call it art? And what about the panel? Is it intentionally left out or removed for some stupid treatment like the trunk lid?
