I felt my already detailed engine bay which I am very proud of not only cus it has TURRRBBBBBOOOOOOO needed some more oooooomph.

I have been thinking of doing mirrors/chrome plates for a while but never got around to doing the investigation into wats involved.


I think you'll agree the effect is quite dramatic. :lol:

Firstly, I added some more detailing to the engine bay to break up the blue and chrome by adding Red anodised bits such strut covers, red anodised bolts and red anodised hose finishers. have also relocated the oil breather filter to the front of the engine as it was directly above the turbo before!

Rice patrol and a post *****. As much as it's blinged up it's far from "rice".

 

not sure how to interpret the replies i have got....hmmmmmm!

is it still rice if its got a turbo, intercooler, bigger injector, emanage, dyno tuning? or is it merely rice as i want my caer to look different form all the samey looking miata's???

it is a showcar, but driven everyday and my only car!

have i been on track with it?...no!

Do i drive it hard on the street?...yes!

do i enjoy smoking the vtec no torque honda's?...YES!

nice jobs tab- all you need is a polished aluminum radiator to swap in for the plastic OE unit. I ususally think of rice as not having the performance to back up the looks.

 

Yea I forgot about that, so I disregard the earlier rice remark.

 

His car is definitely not rice.

 

I second that. See if coolradiator.com will ship one over to you, very cheap. I've had mine for years now without problems.

Are those actual glass mirrors? How do they deal with the additional underhood temps? Do you leave them in all the time?
