My experience has been in North Texas Cops don't come out for accidents unless someone is injured, you have to swap info and move along if both cars are driveable. My car seems to drive prefectly well, but at the same time, If I'm seen driving it where I live, I'm getting pulled over.

The only problem with buying a Shell, is I don't have a spare drive train to put in it. I did find a car for a reasonable price today. At this point it does feel like I need to start pulling stuff off as ARTech suggested, but if things go better than expect I have to put the crap back on. I'll see what they say on Monday or Tuesday, and move forward, I really just want my car fixed. I don't care if its painted or not, just the body repaired, I was going to repaint the thing after the first of the year anyway.

BTW he admitted just wasn't looking when he took off to me, and my passenger, he also hit me from the rear, then asked if I would handle this off insurance. I think he's pretty much admitted its his fault.

yeah dude get on his *** hard and get the insurance to get your **** right, and make sure you do not loose your good stuff. If nothing else take the value of the car the will give you and, then strip all your performance parts off the car and, find another 1.6 etc.

Looks like it is still drivable-so that really puts you in the "driver's seat" no pun intended...your car isn't being held hostage by some insurance company. If the car frame is ok and drivability is satisfactory I would get the highest quote you can find for repair then get his company to cut you a check-then have it fixed the cheapest way you can find on your own. Stick it to them...these ******* half-*** driving their SUVs are going to kill someone-I have an SUV and know how to ******* drive-but I see PLENTY of dumbfucks who don't know or care of the death potential they are driving.

You're right, the popo won't come out for non-injury accidents. Its quite a shame, so I carry a camera with me because "I'll be god damned" if I'm going to get run-around in court because I don't have a police report.

Its definitely totalled. Use this as an opportunity to get a better looking car with matching body panels. Email me if you need any help with this sittuation since I'm right now the street.

btw, I'm always nervous driving in Frisco. Rich idiots **** me off.

I agree, I just need a place that will fix it for an amount of money I can come up with in a reasonable time frame. Depending on what the insurance company offers. I don't care if the car ends up with a salvage title. To be honest it may end its life as a dedicated track car if I pick up later NA, or NB, but for now I want it back on the street. I don't see this car as a classic or an investment for the future. - Its Pure Fun nothing more, nothing less!

And you should be nervous, the guy straigt up said he didn't look, he thought I had already taken off.

Two weeks before this one of my coworkers was hit by a guy driving an S500, the dude was so drunk he thought he was on Eldorado near Little Elm, but he was Near Preston, and 121. Her car was totaled, and only had a couple years left to pay it off, but she didn't have GAP insurance, so now she has to pay the difference before getting a new car. The cop implied to her this was not the drivers first DUI and took his *** to jail.

I run in that same area after work, and Its clear a lot "not all" but many of the wealth locals don't give a **** about the other drivers on the road. Id you drive a anything small, or ride a bike you have to be aware. This was just a complete surprise because he came from behind.

I just got back from Dallas, and had another shop look at the car, and got a quote on the 1/4 panel. No matter what I'm pretty sure I'm going to keep the car, and I think I might pick up a 1.8 open rear end as well. I'll do a torsen, or RX7 swap into it later.
