NB1 leaking from that round seal, back of head, driver side
Gents,
WTF is that round plastic plug called that's on the driver's side at the back of the head, that has it's own bearing cap-looking thingy? I did some inane google searches and came up short.
I recall the last time I attempted to remove it, it basically disintegrated.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Any idea what the torque spec on the cap is? I have the 1999 Shop Manual and it doesn't seem to address it at all.
It's designed to block off the gaping hole left behind when Mazda moved the Cam Angle Sensor location to the front of the engine. As far as I know there isn't a torque spec for it, that cap is designed to just slide in place. When I replaced that cap on my motor I put a very light coat of HondaBond on the outside edge and mine has never leaked.
